Getting to know Lynn Vera, Scheduler

How long have you worked at Mint Medical?

15 years in March of 2023

What has your career journey been like?

I’ve been in the medical field for almost 25 years as a medical office manager, medical biller and coder, nursing recruiter for a home care agency, medical assistant, and my current position as a scheduler.

What’s your day like?

My position requires me to wear many hats and work at a very fast pace. I’m constantly on the phone scheduling and dealing with providers, our techs, and other staff. I am multi-tasking all day with making sure our schedules are full, making adjustments for urgent pts, creating calendars for our vascular techs, juggling our backlog, and so much more.

How would you describe the Mint’s culture?

Working for Mint Medical has been a wonderful experience, and I believe that is why I’ve stayed for so long. Having CC as my boss has been such a joy, and when you have wonderful people to work for and with, it makes such a difference in one’s job. I love my job, helping people, especially the elder, and Mint Medical has become my family.

What is the best thing about working here?

Flexibility and independence.

How would you describe your coworkers and managers?

CC is the best boss I’ve ever had, and we have such an open work relationship which makes everything so organic and natural.

What is your team like?

My team is terrific! The vascular techs I work with are hard-working, and I have enjoyed working directly with Mark, Marilee, and Navdeep.

How has the organization helped with your professional development?

The company has helped me grow and create my role throughout the years by giving me the space to learn and evolve. I can’t thank Mint Medical enough for that.
