All exams at Mint Medical are performed by Registered Vascular Technologists (RVTs) who have undergone extensive training to provide high quality patient care.

During your ultrasound exam, the Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) will use a handheld device called a transducer to view different veins and arteries within the body. The RVT will apply a gel to the transducer which is then placed against the skin of the area being imaged. Through compressions, the RVT can find specific veins and arteries of interest and view them on their screen. The results of your exam will be reviewed by an interpreting physician and sent to your referring doctor for final diagnosis.

Vascular ultrasound exams typically take one hour to complete.
