For more than two decades, Mint Medical has been providing best-in-class service and excellent patient care. Mint Medical operates accredited vascular labs throughout Northern California for our partners and focuses on high caliber results, time after time.
In recognition of this exceptional quality, Mint Medical has been awarded the prestigious Bronze Milestone from IAC Vascular Testing for holding IAC accreditation for 20 years. The Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) is an independent, nonprofit organization accrediting facilities such as vascular laboratories that achieve high standards in patient care.
The Bronze Milestone recognizes facilities that began their accreditation journey 20 years ago. Mint Medical has achieved this milestone for two of our facilities: Kaiser Permanente San Jose Campus Surgery Department, and Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Homestead Campus Department of Vascular Surgery.
“I am extremely proud of our South Bay team. Our Technical Director and staff RVTs consistently show up for our patients, delivering high-quality vascular ultrasounds that enable our vascular surgeons to provide an exceptional and consistent standard of care,” says CC Todd-Edwards, VP of Operations at Mint Medical.
“Too often, vascular technologists are grouped with other imaging modalities and don’t receive the dedicated recognition our specialty deserves. However, the acknowledgment from the IAC—and our company’s commitment to elevating vascular ultrasound—truly sets us apart,” she shares. “This recognition is a testament to the expertise, dedication, and patient-centered care that our team brings every day. Congratulations on 20 years of excellence!”
The Importance of IAC Accreditation
IAC accreditation is an indication of quality and commitment. Accreditation makes it clear that a facility has undergone a thorough application and expert review process. Facilities accredited by IAC have demonstrated their commitment to exceptional patient care while upholding patient safety standards. In addition, these facilities engage in continuous quality improvement and receive supportive resources from the IAC.
Mint Medical’s longstanding labs in Santa Clara and San Jose, California represent two of just 44 accredited facilities to receive the 20-Year Bronze Accreditation Milestone in 2026. This achievement is made possible by our dedicated leadership, staff, and partners at Mint Medical. We take pride in providing excellent vascular care for patients now and in the future.
How Mint Medical Goes Above and Beyond
Mint Medical has always been focused on producing high quality vascular ultrasound services. The IAC requires that facilities meet high standards to achieve accreditation. Mint Medical manages the accreditation process and maintains accreditation for our partner labs. From thorough documentation to hosting quality assurance and improvement meetings with partners, we go above and beyond to achieve and maintain accreditation.
CC Todd-Edwards explains: “We function as part of [our partners’] organizations…We take care of the imaging, scheduling, and the reporting…we handle all vascular ultrasound needs.”
Mint Medical staffs all accredited vascular labs with highly skilled Registered Vascular Technologists (RVTs), who are certified and receive ongoing training. Results are interpreted by Registered Physicians in Vascular Interpretation (RPVIs). We also offer service guarantees for all partners. In addition to IAC accreditation, guarantees include rapid turnaround time and consistent availability at our labs. The result is reduced wait times and improved patient outcomes.
